Who are we?
Elk bedrijf heeft een eigen verhaal. En ons verhaal tot nu toe was alles behalve gewoontjes! We zijn de nodige struikelblokken tegengekomen, zeker toen we net begonnen. Wij zijn met 3 studenten een bedrijfje begonnen onder de onderneming 'Jong ondernemen". Hieruit zijn wij doorgegroeid en proberen wij de markt op te komen met onze Boekmaat. Onze passie om nieuwe dingen te leren zijn we nooit kwijtgeraakt, ook niet nu ons bedrijf gegroeid is. Van elke nieuwe uitdaging leren we weer bij.
(Every company has its own story, yet ours was far from the ordinary! Together, we founded the company An Open Book under the umbrella of the organization Student Company. Our aim was to introduce our product, the Boekmaat, into the market and enhance everyone's reading experience! Throughout our journey we aim to make a positive impact in every impact, we are very passionate with what we do. )

Vanuit de organisatie 'Jong ondernemen" kregen wij de kans om ons eigen start-up bedrijf op te zetten. Hierbij hebben wij onze kwaliteiten en leerpunten ontdekt! De weg die wij hebben afgelegd, en de ervaring die we hiervan hebben opgelopen om op dit punt te komen was enorm leerzaam!
(We took the opportunity to start a business with the organization Jong ondernemen. Throughout our path, we gained so much experience. It is safe to say that we loved the journey and it brought us further as a team and in our company! )
In An Open Book zorgen wij ervoor dat bij alles wat we doen, het bij onze waarden past, zodat we met zekerheid geweldige resultaten kunnen leveren. We hebben hard gewerkt aan onze start-up bedrijf, en kunnen met zekerheid zeggen dat wij DE beste mini-ondernemen van Nederland zijn!
(As a company, we make sure to prioritize our values and goals. Working with reused wood whilst giving good quality products is something we can guarantee. We want to give our clients the best result and still participate and create a positive impact through our sustainable products.
We are glad to announce that our company got selected as nr1 Student company of the year 2023 and are shortlisted as top 5 for the manpowergroup Award (Gen-e). We will pitch at the European finals in Istanbul for the title of best student-company in Europe. We hope to see you there!)
Battles 2023
Onze Boekmaat is gemaakt van kwaliteits-hout dat anders weggegooid zal worden. Zo krijgt het hout toch nog een 2de leven. Ze worden voor een groot deel met de hand gemaakt, zo stoppen we in iedere Boekmaat evenveel liefde.
(Our Boekmaat is crafted from high-quality wood that would otherwise be thrown away. Hereby we give wood a second chance. Each boekmaat is handcrafted with professionalism and great care.)
